one more night i sleep

city_so_filthy

released into the billowing, whispering darkness,
where those who have held my hand can never follow,
far away i go,
crumbling, crying, pining and prone.

yet i go so willingly,
naked and unarmed;
a moment of honesty for a vulnerable, ignorant man.

this must be unconsciousness.

in this mist sways the shadowy hint of serenity.
in this place cold, soft whispers from unseen lips
glide across some nearby gentle sleeping water,
kissing compassionately the fire with a suffocating sweetness,
sending fireflies into the sky like freedom.

this is unconsciousness.

but soon i will breach with one gasping breath,
powerless and gracious,
loved and thriving;
naive as the dawn.

it's soft - it undulates with beauty from whispered corners of the unconscious.....the shadowy images and kissing of fire is beautiful.....I hope you write more stuff.....stuff? stuff? I mean poetry.....:)
