I'm Still Here

The warming comfort of this cold,
It's still here,
The fading chorus of stories told,
It's still here,
The past memories seem so old,
But still here.

You seem so far away
You're still close,
I couldn't find a way
It's hidden but close,
Couldn't find the words to say
But I came close.

The one thing that keeps me alive
Is the fact that
I'm still close,
I'm still here.
I shouldn't have to fight a battle I'll never win, just to lose those I've never had.

    This echoes a lot of deep sadness but a sparkle of hope. The right words might come to you. Life has a funny way of coming to the rescue sometimes when you least expect it. Don't ever lose hope.

    "still" is one of my favourite words. it means so much....
    there is no other way.
    and there never was.
