I waited around, but the good things never came.
And as I waited, the great things walked away.

I should have seen you coming,
But I only saw you leave.
You were there all along,
An angel I couldn't see.
I thought the perfect girl was out there,
But you were here all along.
I thought I'd never meet her,
But you proved me wrong.

I must have been blind, I was.
You stuck around for everything,
I wish I would have seen it.
I payed a price, the phone won't ring.
Maybe its for the better,
But I'm guessing for the worst.
If I couldn't have seen it
You should have told me first.

sounds like you're having a rough time. If she's the right one, never give up.

oh, and sometimes good things come your way, but more often than not you have to be proactive in that, you have to go looking for them and make sure you are prepared for them when you find them.
