I heard confirmation that pearl jam will be playing a charity for Robin Hood (http://www.robinhood.org), a great charity for nyc's poor. Maroon 5 is playing tonight at the Nokia Theater...PJ is scheduled for July 1st...not sure of the venue, but it will be in new york city.

Well, whether they play such show or not, it looks like a good organization. Thanks for making me visit their website :)
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.

Can you give some details as to your source? Not saying you're wrong, but it would help establish a little credibility for you.

Hope this turns out to be true. I'm planning a visit to NYC this summer anyway.

btw - it is pricey. for maroon 5 there are 3 choices $250, $400, or $5000 for vip. not sure what vip means. but it is for a great cause.

doesnt pearl jam always donate to a local charity when they play?
If so, It could mean that robinhood is the recepient for the next show, not that they are playing a robin hood benefit/fundraiser with $$$$ tix

but its encouraging, between that and the email, Ive almost started to think they might do some shows..almost

    So...

    mid-June in Tennessee for Bonnaroo

    AND

July 1 in New York City for Robin Hood

Those dates are within three weeks of each other. Are these the first two of many more to follow?

    Is that the Vineland Festival?

The producers of Coachella are launching a summer festival in New York City this summer, as well.

The Vineland Festival has PJ written all over it. On a farm, rural area, camp out, dig all sorts of music at one event. PLEASE do it! I think they will travel to AC again at some point but play the boardwalk hall rather than Borgota.

    ouch!

I know it's for charity, but adding the flights.. :(
plus unless they do other dates between Bonnaroo and that, wouldn't stay that long in the US..

just hope we get some concrete info soon.. preferably before the UK festivals go on sale (as there some around that time)

Awesome news! The Robin Hood Foundation is a terrific organization that helps fight poverty in NYC. Moreover, 100% of donations go to actual programs whereas in most charities, donations have to help fund the administrative costs of the organization.

Kudos for Pearl Jam for supporting Robin Hood. This is one show where I won't mind the high ticket prices!
