Payed For in Blood

I've got all I need,
Got my own blood to bleed,
I know what I've learned,
A future, what my past has earned.
I looked with my own eyes,
My successful and my failed tries.
I gave what I could,
You took it all, I knew you would.
And if you knew what I'd say,
Why'd you let us go that day?

I may not have had much money, but I always did what I said,
I worked myself to nothing, and sometimes I even bled.
It didn't seem to bother you when I would crash right down,
It was when I kept getting up that you began to frown.
I shouldn't have to fight a battle I'll never win, just to lose those I've never had.

I like this poem. It has alot of emotion and shows some bitterness-very real feelings. These last two lines got to me alot.
