A means to an end,
The ending of meaning.
The finding of words
To word in the reason.
The losing of faith
To opponents unknown.
The loss of contempt
And lessons outgrown.
An age that has past
To the coming of dawn,
The passing of right
To the sureness of wrong.

The end of an age,
The end of a man
To proud to let go,
To refuse a hand.
The past tries to teach,
The future to learn,
The present just waits
While a future I earn.
I shouldn't have to fight a battle I'll never win, just to lose those I've never had.

i used the word "to" in a line that said

    too our own smell...

and i meant it as such... that we are TOO much our own selves, making it difficult to understand other's intents

you use that word, "to" here, a lot. be sure you haven't mispelled one?

    :D
