Temperament

You said what you said
And I did what I did,
It's my past that I'll
Have to relive.

Without the temperament I've seen before,
My words just fade away.
Without the painful exertion of giving more
I sleep through endless days.
Time to see but I won't look
Among the things I wish I took.
Chances and changes are among the few,
Not my past, not even you.
I shouldn't have to fight a battle I'll never win, just to lose those I've never had.

  • well written. Perfectly describes the reflection of a relationship after a breakup, what happened, pain, and regrets.
The only thing I enjoy is having no feelings....being numb rocks!

And I won't make the same mistakes
    (Because I know)
Because I know how much time that wastes
    (And function)
    Function is the key
