Falling

The highroad leads to nowhere,
No road leads to you.
I keep sinking deeper,
Things keep falling through.

You were a love,
You're not my last.
You're not my future,
Just my past.

One by one I take these steps alone,
Step by step I'm coming home.
Year by year I live this life,
Day by day I set things right.
I shouldn't have to fight a battle I'll never win, just to lose those I've never had.

  • Love love love this poem...thanks for sharing
It doesnt hurt.... when I bleed
    but memories...they eat me
    I've seen it all before,...
bring it on cause I'm no victim.

  • i feel myself falling
    out of sight
    out of chances
    i feel the heart
    pulling me closer
    to home

  • I liked this too, Kovo. :) The last stanza and particularily the last line are great!

Hmmm, lovin' kind, I like the idea of stars bursting into eachother, that sounds pretty wild. :)

This is a good one Kovo. I really like it... :)
Our love must not be just words, but True Love, which shows itself in action,
No one needs a smile more than someone who fails to give one,
After you die...you know how to LIVE!
  • great one kovo
The only thing I enjoy is having no feelings....being numb rocks!

And I won't make the same mistakes
    (Because I know)
Because I know how much time that wastes
    (And function)
    Function is the key
