Footsteps/Times of Trouble

I just went to see Chris Cornell the other day so of course now I'm going back to my archives rediscovering songs I haven't heard in awhile and came across Times of Trouble from Temple of the Dog. It's exactly Footsteps but with a piano at the start instead of Ed's harmonica. Without bashing me if this is obvious has Ed ever talked about this or ever made reference to it?

    No, it just means you aren't as pathetic as most pj fans who can tell you what Ed ate for breakfast.

    Yes, it is the same music. Both singers took their own crack at it back in the day. I like Times of Trouble better, but this is a pj pit so most won't agree.

    I don't feel like getting off my ass to confirm this, but I think they mention times of trouble in the Lost Dogs liner notes. It is pretty common knowledge now, but I too thought it was cool as hell when I found out....even if it was 1992.

    Don't forget Seasons from Singles.

    That's why I hate the internet. That was NOT a dig. I was just reminiscing and I'm sorry if it came off wrong. My point was that it was a cool thing for me to discover then and cool for you to discover now. Either way we shared the same discovery.

    The X in Pittsburgh actually played this song a couple days ago as part of a block of songs from soundtracks.
