Death of A Dream

The death of a dream
Is not what it seems
To the eyes of whom it unfolds.
The death of us all
Answers the call
When truths are left untold.

When the eyes of the sky
Refuse to run dry
And the water below runs deep,
Its when we turn our away
From those we could save,
That my faith will always sleep.

In the depths of the night
We wage this fight
That we are doomed to lose.
But we raise up our heads
And will 'til were dead
Because its the one thing we can choose.

When destiny and fate
Both choose to wait
It's us who take the lead.
Slowly we learn
That life's our's to earn,
And that its our blood which we must bleed.
I shouldn't have to fight a battle I'll never win, just to lose those I've never had.
