I have seen the world fall down at my feet,
And I have lived a thousand lives, and slept a thousand sleeps.
I have seen what no man should see, and been where no man should be.
I have worn the thickest chains, and been freer then the free.

I have watched the clouds roll by, I’ve felt the rain they bring.
I have seen the sureness fall, while hopelessness takes wing.

I have held back the tide, and I’ve been the catalyst,
I’ve left my prayers unheard, and left my hopes unwished.
I have seen the setting sun, and I’ve seen the light reborn.
And on the hands of a downcast man, I’ve seen ties broken and torn.

And while the singers sang their songs of heroes golden glory,
I have silenced their cry and listened to their stories.

I have fought the hand of death, and with it I’ve held fate,
Alone I’ve fought the demon’s sons, while the angels wait.
I have worn the wounds of life, some heal, some never will,
I have found that a sword is sharp, but its betrayal that will kill.
I shouldn't have to fight a battle I'll never win, just to lose those I've never had.

  • This is a pretty damn good. Keep up the creativity, friend.
"this one, anytime I say love if you wanna say love, uh, say it, and if you say it you might as well say it loud, and if you don't feel like sayin' it, don't say it, but if you feel it, certainly say it..."

NOTE: Everything I write in the P,P&M section are intended to be songs, not poetry.
