On the Brink of Nothing

(The War of Time)


Flying above all clouds thee eagles soar, swiftly, through the atmosphere.

With wings ablaze they can't be reached, nor seen, nor heard, nor ever touched.

The hawks have tried and the falcons too, but the eagles' heights are tested true.

And so the kingdom stays in place, kept in order by Nature's grace; for Man is left with only steel, while the air the eagles' wings can feel.

Until that chance where Seraphs try, the destined day when dragons fly.

Breathing fire and swooping about, the war will rage for ether's cult.

This dog-fight waged in aerial hops, decides the fate of mountain-tops; thus the Earth shall stand abound, covered over by battle-grounds.

Then, again, Time will halt--as this rapturous inferno burns All down.


*this one came out last night: mediocre at best???

    I got lost a tad in the end but 75% good.

    i dont know that 'beautiful' is really the word, and i think that 75% is extremely generous, but thanks for sure for the feedback. personally i doubt even half of it is worthwhile, but ya know, i love dragons!!!

    and 75% was the first three quarters of the poem. I am sure you do love Dragons.

    I didn't mean to rock your boat, I see you and Red are friendly. I am a generous person. If I like something I say so, If I don't I won't.

    :D Well, maybe that's why you titled it "On the Brink of Nothing"!!! :D;) And for being on the brink of nothing, you sure seem to have something...

    Dragons are magical and magnificent! :) "The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire, we don't need no water let the motherfucker burn, burn motherfucker burn" :D I dunno, for some reason all this talk of burning and dragons made me think of the Bloodhound Gang. :D
