for pearl jam and their fans:

Respect

children
have the right to privacy
M
E
A
N
I
N
G
SCHOOLS
Whether they be of thought or buildings

Should not release (re-sale)
names

To strangers
And we are all
Someone’s child

This is also known as

A-K(A),

Not a 47,

But respect.

Not an invasion
Of your rights,

But a protection.

Know your rights
And that your enemies are not enemies
Just strangers
Who don’t know their
Right from left
Or what Aretha meant when she spelt:

R-E-S-P-E-C-T

Find out what it means to me:

Know your rights
And protect someone else’s.

  • That was cool, pearlmutt. As soon as I read the title I was thinking Aretha so I'm glad she made it into your poem--I'm gonna have that tune in my head all day now! :D Man, can she ever belt one out!
