A very tender grasp, Bonding our souls, our hearts,
As you carry me, I feel weightless in your arms.
You are like a giant around my small self,
You engulf me with passion, a hope I've never felt.

I lie awake in the darkness, I need the light that you shine,
Brightening every part of me, you make me feel alive.
I whisper to the angels, so they keep you around
Pleading so quietly, hardly making a sound.

They answered my prayers, with intentions divine,
as if God himself had placed your hand in mine.
