Man not forsaken

A time not forgotten, nor long ago.
A man stood collapsing
grasping air not to fold.
A man nine twice
green for his years,
arms extended out
relinquish hand fulls of tears.
Yield to Thee, this life
(not his to begin)
but sworn to abide
till roads travled End.

On this road is a fork
and a knife and a spoon
a last dinner for star-crossed lovers

    green for years
