A fleeting moment

I have searched for so long but,
no answer have I found.
The vale of tears run down my cheek
to softly hit the ground.
The door it opens and,
now I see your face.
Bringing back the memories
I thought I had replaced.
For a fleeting moment you stop
before you pass me by.
"Is everything alright?
For what do you cry?"
"You" is what I think but,
not the words I speak.
The emotions locked inside me
for some reason I choose to keep.

I liked the rhythm of this and the rhyming. If it was longer the rhyming and message may be tedious, but it is just right here. :-)

    "Are you alright?"
    Perhaps more than empty words
Maybe an invitation to step into the light
