Mansfield 6/30 - will there be....

any mention of Roskilde? It will be 8 years after it happened, and I would imagine the band would address it somehow.

Arc being played perhaps? any other thoughts or ideas?

    I wouldn't put it past Ed to mention it, but who knows. They play festivals again so maybe they're over it, at least in a way.

    A mention, sure, but they didn't play Arc in Copenhagen last year, I think that definitely means never again.

    All I expect is a slightly more than brief mention before LBC with an "eight years ago today" variation.

    We got Arc @ Mansfield last time they were there... probably won't be done again.

    Maybe open with LBC? Didn't they play Arc 9 times to pay homage to the 9 that died?

    Copenhagen wasn't on the 29th, Werchter was.

    it's not the date but the place. They talked about Roskilde extensively there, families in attendance, etc. It wasn't played then it won't in Mansfield, no matter what the date.

    They played Roskilde on the 30th, Oslo was the 29th and they were due to play Werchter on July 2nd but cancelled it.

    Stone said recently in his Integral Naked interview that the constantly think about Roskilde and that it's something they'll probably never get over it.
