poetry what would eddie sing

i write lyrics for a band they asked for a song eddie might sing
this was my effort
sat and stared at the open fire 'as she lay naked on the floor
surrounded by mountains forests and rivers
a face so kind but her body it shivers
we went walking in the summer 'she was still in bloom
surrounded by hope love and emotion
i would drown if she was an ocean

let us be who we want to be
could it happen that way
let us see all the things we see
would not have it any other way

a tiny scar where the waste was buried' but the stench remained the same
surrounded by bridges fences and towers
a face so kind started showing the hours
i went walking in the winter ' she stayed in her room
surrounded by greed and a lack of emotion
we'll all drown when she cries us an ocean

could not be who we want to be
it dont happen that way
keep us blind to the things you see
would not have it any other way
