The scar that lies behind the eyes
From once when reckoned
Gone since times past
Brings forth the unbridled emotion
Held within the form of another
Breaking all barriers, force unknown
What is left when the love
And compassion dissapates
But the lingering forms of hatred
And treachery questioning the air above
Leading one to fight with resilience
While the demon inside
Mandating with its fierce integrity
Leaves one struggling to battle
The potent beast delving
Just below the surface of the soul
And its satiation almost fulfilled
When the the will is strengthened
To give its own power
One last cry into the creeping blackness
Of what was once foreseen
Showing the lissome form of the mortal
That could never be broken forever more
As all scars have been healed
For the morals have been taught
And used to breach ones own mind
Searching for the consolidation
That had brought the imagination forth
Yet also the sentimental inference
Sparks the cry for loss of hapless unknowing
Of what once was and shall never be
"Everyone wants to be the sun that lights up your life, but I'd rather be your moon so I can shine on you during your darkest hour when your sun's not around."

    Nicely written.
I shouldn't have to fight a battle I'll never win, just to lose those I've never had.
