The golden light so ethereal
Casting its rays
Amongst the wilderness
As it inhales
Another breath of life
The creek over yonder
Glistening in the morning shine
Smooth ripplings forming
on the surface
The silence almost deafening
What lies near
None other than
A solitary rose
The dew droplets
Crystallized in form
Melt away slowly
As the vibrance
Of its rich color
Dons a new coat of tears
Upon its petals so fragile
The leaves that lie
Atop the forest floor
Hiding the secrets
Of times past
A time long ago
The existence abided
No longer to be seen
As the day wanes
All secrets subliminally disclosed
Then..the silence broken
By two wandering
Amidst its unknown
Only to be solved
Once treading upon
The rose beneath
"Everyone wants to be the sun that lights up your life, but I'd rather be your moon so I can shine on you during your darkest hour when your sun's not around."
