Crystal Tears

The creeping of the moon's shine upon me
Stolen from me my awareness of life
For what it takes to become so disillusioned
To have in the end bear such unsettling truth
Why this loss hath taken such heed upon me
When all was questioned but a purity of life..thy soul

The trickery of illumination striking the faces of others
By the residing of one whom wields my strength
A strength beyond all recollection known unto me
And by crying out in placid joy or despair
What giveth me such fierce acknowledgement of Destiny?

When thy crystal tears lie upon the grave, left forgotten
Yet begun as one so freshly dug from whence I came
Your soul beating within the barriers of an unseen mind
Thy lightness gathers to form the power within others..within me

When all hath shattered and eroded thy aged soul
I felt the fire blazing upon my arms from scalding fingertips
That gave one such a shudder to the deepest core
Knowing what was once thought to be mine is no longer..nor ever was

As the fire dies upon the slow, mistful walk beyond thy wooded lair
And as the thought of the most treasured arises
I find consolance only within the moon above
And thy crystal tears of sheer regret...
"Everyone wants to be the sun that lights up your life, but I'd rather be your moon so I can shine on you during your darkest hour when your sun's not around."
