Let me speak of a time once known
An aspect of life deemed gone
But as its soul refurbished
It did discover that there was a need to excel

It's painted blue skies and effulgent rays
Beaming down upon a soul so pure
The flamboyant acts so innocently unaware
As its wind had begun to shift positions

The blackened plague that took heed upon them
Breaking the core so adamantly
The innocence gone and left nothing to gain
But a single form of insubstance so ravished

The clouds and sky place such shallow layers
The rigid movement of life so faint
The beat had become barely existant,
To the lying eyes that glared before them

As the form moved on in ever-lasting disgust
The other left to lie there motionless
The quivering of once sun-kissed lips
Sending out moans of an unnatural vow

An unbreakable vow till once succeeded
Naught be won be simple bribery nor pride
Only for a seething vengeance that be unknown
Till its dying day take heed upon them

For only the time of its quaking shall tell
Of the inquiries held so deep
To discover such meaning to the hapless indulgence
That will lie within watery depths of crystal lore
"Everyone wants to be the sun that lights up your life, but I'd rather be your moon so I can shine on you during your darkest hour when your sun's not around."
