I wanted to direct your attention to http://www.zoetrope.com which is a workshopping site set up by Francis Ford Coppola specifically for feedback and peer review of writing, music, as well as filmmaking.

This is not spam. I happen to be an independent musician who posts on there and here on occasion. I know that I like feedback and often, this forum doesn't provide quite enough. I've found that readers/listeners on Zoetrope are quite articulate and usually have insightful reviews to offer. I would strongly encourage you to check it out.

I forgot to mention its also a good way of getting your work out there. I know they pick the best stories and poetry for the All Story magazine which features stories by writers such as Woody Allen. One story of mine was published after review on Zoetrope. So it does happen, its not just some marketing gimmick.
