I came up with this song/poem/whatever you want to call it, a few hours ago after watching CNN. It is one of my favorite things I have written. Any comments are welcomed.

Fire lights up the evening sky
There is no point in even asking why

When we build it, they destroy it
One nation divided, undecided

As I just sit there, watching silent, waiting for the end

Truth is sometimes hard to accept
But enemies are even harder to reject

Make them quiet, stop the riots
Hide things from them, you are their friend

As I just sit here, watching silent, praying for the end

I could make up excuses all day
But that would only prolong this stay

I just sit here, watching silent, hoping for the end
