twenty-four years

Today,
constantly risking
self-alienation
and the like,
I discovered something new,
something I'd suspected
but never sought to bear witness to,
and I had my "crossroads" moment.
Never saw him
and maybe never will,
for perhaps my soul
is not mine to barter with?

You can't do better than that guy in my book. He's my favorite. Ever. Period.

I steal lines all the time. Well, I used to. But it was always to add the flavor of the source of the line into what I was trying to say. It's still thievery, but whatever ;)

:) I don't really see the problem with a bit of thievery to be honest. I think I prefer Ginsberg to Ferlinghetti but I still love his poetry. Pictures of the gone world is one of my all-time favourite books.
