Polished and perfect, were the ornaments
that lined the mantlepiece, above the old fire place
the fire burned gently, with a warm glow
you could always feel it's warmth
The living room was painted half red
and half green, with a border piece seperating
so many happy memorys filled my thoughts
every time I walked through the door
like the time I caught a huge spider
with a glass and saucer,
I sat and watched him for a little while
before I put him out the kitchen door
And the time I came off my bicycle
my mam comforted me by the fire
and my leg felt better real quick
from the love that was given to me
and the peace that I felt when in that room
like their was a force field protecting it
and those within.
Can not be arsed with life no more.
