Horizons

The light flashed on, off, on, off, on, off,
and with each flash came a new thought
of how things could improve
but within as quick a time as they arrived
they evapporated by his side
as the dark retuned to take them away
it was hopeless and he knew

feeling his emotion. . . . . . getting stronger by the day
could he find the notion. . . . . to save the love he strived to give?

this situation was growing, fading, growing, fading
with each injection of passion
came an argument that destroyed
what had been built before it
was it ever going to get past this situation?
could they find a way around the problem?
or was this another lost cause in his history

feeling his emotion. . . . . . getting stronger by the day
could he find the notion. . . . . to save the love he strived to give?

This new horizon drawing closer, further, closer, further
what distant blurs were the images that resonated on it?
as this future approached he knew there was no way of knowing
what lay ahead on this pathway
but still he'd walk along it
and that there was no turning back
in to the future he strolled, his soul glowing bright

feeling his emotion. . . . . . getting stronger by the day
could he find the notion. . . . . to save the love he strived to give?
Can not be arsed with life no more.

I like the picture of a railroad crossing signal that seems to be in here. :)
