Forbidden Snowflakes

Falling from the sky, dropping,
laying a blanket across the ground
the snowflakes landed
then the sun melted them away
turned to slush, and then drained away
the crystal shapes I gazed at
no longer here today
a satin white cover
looked so beautiful on the land
the sheep in camoflauge
grazing in the farmers fields
so peaceful and sedate
in this world I contemplate
what it is to be human
what there is to relate
just like life
it came then went away
a cycle much quicker
but in the end the same fate.
