Buried at Sea.

Up on the shoreline
the sunset rested
as the waves rolled in
the man sat sombre
wondering if he'd see it again
bottle in one hand
blade in the other
should I carry on
was what he pondered
It would be easier this way
but the doubt was caving in
his head felt crushed
by the weight of it all
so many stresses
life had given him
saw his daughter buried
at the age of five
from a terminal disease
watched his wife
screw his neighbour "friend"
and then leave him
all that was important
had all gone away
nothing left to live for
dont want to start again....

....Up on the shoreline
the sun light touched the beach
as the waves rolled away
carried a body no one could reach
off into the next life
away from troubles past
a sea funeral that only
the elements witnessed.
Can not be arsed with life no more.
