When Punk Rock Became Safe.

Punk rock used to feel so dangerous
it had a passion and swept me off my feet
the Clash started a white riot
and The Ramones wanted to sniff some glue
all the disilusioned kids united
and stuck two fingers up
but that feeling got diluted

polluted down the line

now I blame Green Day
and Blink one eighty too
for making pop music
disguised like me and you

These pretend punks appeared on mtv
selling to as many as they can
destroying the punk spirit
by becoming manufactured and bland
the diy ethic
lost in a sea of trash

I blame Green Day
and Blink one eighty too
for making pop music
disguised like me and you
Can not be arsed with life no more.

and i blame you for allowing it.
    you ain't stupid
    and you ain't blind
it's not like they were hiding it
    trust yourself
    don't be told
    make up your own mind
    that way you'll never
    be pop music
and their disguise will be useless. :D
    hear my name
    take a good look
    this could be the day
    hold my hand
    lie beside me
    i just need to say
