time

as the ocean sprays its whispers
of a long forgotten time
her crucified love lies whithering
in the helpless sands of time
a desert life existence
has taken on control
of hope and future and feeling
of a love once was untold
now the stars above they hold
just a memory in her mind
of another life
a sacred place
whose only failing was time
her petals long gone fallen
nothing left but whithering buds
she gathers these to warm her soul
and dream of flowers once right
with ailing health she struggles on
her mind moves with shattered speed
but her heart is trapped in difference
in this place she doesn't need
all her moments then are gone now
as she trys to lay to rest
what happened when she lived her life
and what happened since she left

she stands her head up high
in amongst the crowded room
but nothing really takes from her
the dreaded face of doom
she dreams now not of loving
living out her life in regret
between here and now and never
this place she can't forget
Movement, actions, images, thoughts, perceptions, ideals all seem to forge within me a strength of doubt that renders me incapable of associating my life with normality and the thoughts of a well balanced and functional pedestrian. -JDP
