Merry-go-round

I saw the moon this afternoon. It was late afternoon...the sun was starting it's descent. The sky was so blue - with only the sporadic contrails drifting above - like leaves flowing slowly down a stream. But there it was - the moon - about half of it showing itself. I wonder how many others saw it just then. I immediately thought of you...I wondered if you saw the moon as you awoke and warmed up your morning. I wanted to call you and tell you to look up.

I am so far from perfect you know. So unsure of what I am doing here...so unsure of all of this. Desperately wanting a compass to point me home - wherever that is. Home. Peace. Refuge. A place where I can be myself. Myself. I don't even know if I can define that. It may mean I will be alone the rest of my life. Not lonely, but alone.

Ocassionally catching glimpses of women like you and others...like trying to grasp the brass ring at the merry-go-round. Don't remember ever grabbing it as a child. Always hurt my fingers trying to grab it. Maybe this is what fate is all about.

Maybe it's not the brass ring after all. Maybe it's the ride itself....

we all are to some extent. but for the most part we're a pretty safe crowd in here....we don't bite unless we're asked.

just kidding that was the poetry hut all-stars few of which remain...but oh the fun we had while it lasted.

the new group is a talented bunch and i think you'll be pretty happy here if you stick around and get use to us.
  • It's my sun that helps you see it..........

    damn...

    and stop hiding!
    You ask me to enter
But then You make me crawl
And I can't be holding on
    To what You got
When all You've got is hurt
    ----
    Underneath this smile lies everything
All my hopes and anger, pride and shame
