Where are they?

The ones who can connect?

The emotions, the intellect, the laughter, the wit, the sexuality.

Where the flow is so damn good. The conversation never falters - never fails. Where you are so honest...missing them when they are not there. Addicted to their company, their presence.

How many people never - ever - touch that in their lives? How many have no idea what language I am talking right now? How many settle? How many are content? How many run around that hamster wheel? How many give up and give in? How many plod through life with that wet blanket over their shoulders - over their mind - over their heart?

That connection - I've touched it - and don't want to lose it. Want to remember that touch - that feeling. Where my synapses fire left and right. Where my heart jumps on the treadmill. Dayem.

Have you touched it? Where are they?

how about finding all of that and silence too?

ever had someone where you didn't feel the need to fill every single moment with noise? where there was no such thing as an "uncomfortable silence"? where the quiet moments with nothing but the sound of the rise and fall of their chest is the only sound you care to hear.

just to hear their breathing. watching them sleep. hair a mess. such a deep sleep maybe a little drool out of the corner of the mouth. feeling their head resting on your shoulder - closing your eyes and smelling their hair. no talking required or necessary...

    yeah, silence too....

had a feeling you'd know what i was talking about.

its out there and worth the wait. can't convince me otherwise...no matter how many wrong ones we come across in the process.
