Nobody
By Faol

On a darkened road I met myself; a stranger
Somebody from long ago I use to know
There’s a fire in your eyes, fuelled by your anger
For you, my eyes fill, fiery tears flow

Driven by your demons, you’re a slave to your past
Blinded by your fury, you’ve lost your way
Stumbling in the dark, an abyss so vast
It’s redemption you seek, but revenge you crave

I no longer taste the lies I swallow
I met you on a darkened road, forsaken soul
Somebody I use to know
Who have I become? Vagabond of war

Wade through battered, bloodied bodies, I seek to blame
Blinded, I wander my way alone through this world
Of hate, sorrow, and pain; of war, fear, and shame
Where children die and nobody cares

    this reminds me of something...

    nice writing.
    You ask me to enter
But then You make me crawl
And I can't be holding on
    To what You got
When all You've got is hurt
    ----
    Underneath this smile lies everything
All my hopes and anger, pride and shame

Thanks. I am kinda shy when it comes to sharing, I could never do this face to face.

Just keep on sharing your words in here... Some will find theirselves in your words, just as I did in this verses.

    Very good.
