He came to me
Like no one before him
*Held my hand* and
*Looked into my eyes*
And I wondered if it would be ok

He brought me smiles
The smiles that have been missing
For so long now
And I wondered if it would be ok

He said he loved me
With all of his heart and soul
and that one day he’d be able to show me
And I wondered if it would be ok

I took the wall down and let him in
Leaving myself completely naked
Finally ready for this love I’d waited for
And I knew it would be ok

The real world came running at us
Spinning, twisting, shattering
I was left alone to watch the pieces fall
And I was no longer wondering
And I was no longer knowing
And I was no longer
You ask me to enter
But then You make me crawl
And I can't be holding on
To what You got
When all You've got is hurt
----
Underneath this smile lies everything
All my hopes and anger, pride and shame
