to glaze our windowframe, to make the moon
seem gleaming cold upon our windowsill
and have us cuddling for warmth. Yes, soon
I'll leave the heat down low as good excuse
to lay down next to you, to feel your head
upon my shoulder. Let the night's obtuse
silent dark allow love's flow to spread.
But then I'll catch a cold
as will you
and we will miss work
at the same time.
We will cough in unison.
We will reach for the same tissue box.
I will let you drink the last glass of orange juice
while I cover my head in three hats.
What could be better
to heal our hearts
while we heal our throats,
but fire-placed time.

Hey Spot In The Sky,
I'm not going to write a poem in response, but give you what that line did for my imagination. As soon as I read it it felt like the couple had lost something in their relationship. The narrator seems to be trying to find a way to get it back. The sadness of the line alone screams to say that the poem should end in the same sadness. Anyway there is my thoughts. Want to see what you come up with.

P.S. Doesn't writers block suck?
Good job:)
