The fog lifted from the sea and set food on land
She smelled of salt but felt like moon light
I felt rich today, even if it was spent alone
I closed my eyes to enhance my sense of touch
And felt my scars evolve to beauty marks
There are no letters without a foundation
After a gust returned every pebble to its home
There is no rock bottom to be reached
I’ve reserved the next star for you

...thank you.

    scars can't be counted.....stars can
....they're asking me to prove why I should be allowed to stay with my baby in Australia, because I'm mentally ill......and they think I should leave......
  • nicely wrote....very described
    Don't need a raincoat, I'm already wet..
  • Lots of compact imagery and feeling here, well produced. I know a few people who would have mixed their metaphors trying to achieve the same effects. Thanks.
