only the stupid are happy
they have their chores and their obligations
they go to church like morons
and pray to a God they have imagined
I think sometimes, I want to be happy,
but I'd have to be stupid too
and that's a thing I can't do
only the stupid are happy

only the stupid are happy
they grow their children in their image
they work moronically at mindless tasks
and think that television is real
they don't really think, they just feel
they feel hungry....they eat
they get tired....they curse the God
which on Sundays they adore
only the stupid are happy


I'm happy....(that I'm not stupid)

i've felt that way at times...the proverbial "ignorance is bliss"...but i hope upon hope it simply is not true at the core of things. i think not - and thankfully so.

thanks....for your comments.....it just seemed so right.....so catchy.....only the stupid are happy......I'm listening to Paul Simon on the radio - Graceland.....I hope we're all going to graceland....poor boys and pilgrims with families.....everyone is equal.....bob dylan says in a song.....if you really believe that you're better than noone and noone is better than you....well then you have nothing to win and nothing to lose.....I don't think life is about winning......only last night, I prayed deeply to God for an end to suffering.....it's when we become lovers/friends/neighbours that stupidity and evil end......sometimes when I'm falling and flying and tumbling in turmoil I say whoa so this is what she means.....
