I have a Meg Ryan smile....it's goofy
it's dumb nad silly
I saw a man hobble up to the post office
watched him flick his stick to counts of steps
nad surpisingly he took a key
nad I stared (sighted as I am) at him
knowing he couldn't see me
he stuck his key in - hit teh spot
then, I was standing in line
when he came up close
there was only a bar between us
nad he gave his ticket to teh chinese boy
nad solicitously the lad said sign here and guided his finger to teh spot
he signed with a flourish
nad my prejudice disappeared....
here was a Helen Keller
an empath who probably could regale me with tales.....
he was a walking miracle
a blind man.....alone in darkness who had teh courage of a lion
(oh, I will remember you always with your little hat)
nad me with all my privileges living in fear.....
God bless you
(he took his package, I thought it might be a book that he ordered online
and walked home to his perfectly appointed place
what grace he had nad what a canny lad)
....they're asking me to prove why I should be allowed to stay with my baby in Australia, because I'm mentally ill......and they think I should leave......

what is nad? explain it for a foreign like me
It was a dream, not a nightmare. A beautiful dream I could never imagined in a thousand nods. I saw this girl next to me, she wasn't beautiful until she smiled. And I felt that smile come at me in heat waves following. Soaking through my body and out my finger tips in shafts of color. And I knew somewhere in the world, somewhere, that there was love for me.
