lost dogs....

I found another stray dog
or should I say
she found me....
she was walking around town the other day
barking at the outstretched arms
of concerned people
who weren't her owners....
and then today,
she waddles up to the back door
of my block
like a sailor on shore leave
and I guess you could say
she'd found land....
she's walking around the
apartment on teetering feet
as though she's a drunk woman
who can't wear high heels...
she's sniffing everything
and drinking lots of water,
and she's trying to scratch
away weeks of neglect
and tasting my mother-in-law's
spaghetti bolognaise
(I wonder what she thinks of it
I found it a bit watery...hehehe)
so now, she's finally laid down
on one of my baby's old toy mats,
and has fallen asleep....
with the sporadic shaking of
a shell-shocked soldier
....they're asking me to prove why I should be allowed to stay with my baby in Australia, because I'm mentally ill......and they think I should leave......

    then I say
    what's a dog for?

    s/he he has left a pattern of pee all over my carpet, and I've already cleaned up countless poops.....it'll all be worth it when Torin sees her......;) ......he jus loves dem dawgs......if it's a dawg.....he WILL chase it....or feed it or jus love da fukker......he jus loves dem dawgs.....jus like his Mom

    :):):):):):) I know--they're so adorable and lovable!!!! How can ya not like doggies????!!!!!!!! :D All they really want is some food, some water and some pets--that ain't too much to ask! :)

    the poor little baby has stopped shivering, and I'll give him/her a bath tomorrow to make her presentable to my baby....I guess I'm just the mother of lost dogs...always.....and forever
