the Australian sky

the sky paints crazy myths
in swirling ice-cream shapes
like chocolate through vanilla
and sweet-shop melting scapes

old tales of death and homage
like poets' words mixed-up
confuse you and astound you
if you look into the cup
of coffee/milk, and dizziness
and falling through its busyness
and sleeping on its pillows
clouds, dreams, billows
of wafting through peaceful storms
of beauty
....they're asking me to prove why I should be allowed to stay with my baby in Australia, because I'm mentally ill......and they think I should leave......

  • Sometimes, it seems, words are worth a thousand pictures.

  • It is time for me to sleep. Be well Cath, and keep looking at the sky. It's never a bad thing.
