accidental fall

Love is a bandage wrapped around my broken limbs
Love is the headache I get listening to you scream
Love is the damage, love is never feeling clean
Love is the heartache of feeling like a sin

And I don't want to wear your love no more
I don't want to swear it was an accidental fall
(I don't want him to see the things he saw
How I hope these lessons can be untaught)

Now we're walking and we're never coming back
Free from your 'love', free from your attack
No point in talking, it's too late for that
Looking to the future where answers lay untapped

  • Look into the future, love is, well, when it's real, love is the savior. :)

And oh my, for some reason Alannah Miles' is coming to my mind....ahhhhh....nooooo......eeeeekkkkkk......doooon't....it's happening anyway,

    "Love is,
    whatcha want it to be.
    Love is,
    heaven to the lonely.
    Show me,
    whatcha want me to do.
'Cause love is what I got for you" :D

I liked the fact that although your poem was kinda glum throughout, you ended on a positive note. :) Thanks for sharing!
