waiting for the sun

giving is to taking
as you are to life
wanting to give it up
to take it all
and throw it all away
for now it's getting darker
the dark of night
makes it hard to see
what is right in front of you
just ahead of you
what's to come
and the beauty of the day
fades from your brain
nearly as soon as the sun goes down
all you remember is the night before
and the night before
and the night before
crying yourself to sleep
and with each tear
believing the sun had died
never to return
and when it rose again
you were surprised
by now
by now I would have thought
you would have learnt
every night is followed by a day
and your wish for eternal sleep
just guarentees
you'll never see the sun again.

or to put it another way...No matter how long the winter, there's a spring time ahead :)

:) Very nice pacifier! "The sun'll come out tomorrow, bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow, there'll be sun..."

  • very nice indeed :)
The only thing I enjoy is having no feelings....being numb rocks!

And I won't make the same mistakes
    (Because I know)
Because I know how much time that wastes
    (And function)
    Function is the key
