no co-stars

as I awake to the unknown today I feel as if
this day is all too familiar
yesterday was just like any other
much like tomorrow will be.

spinning my wheels in the muddy depths of my life
i can't find the 4 wheel-drive switch.
I rock backwards and forth but it just makes me dizzy
I look for help but there's noone that can reach me

our lives are a big production minus the lights
and camera with a palmful of action to keep us
coming back to see what happens next.

tune in tomorrow,same channel,different time.
and maybe a different ending.
