Winter night
Pale winter moon
Casting blue light
Snow covers fields
That sparkle at night
Icy still air
Kisses my face
Through birch stands I walk
leaving my trace
The trees now all sleep
Their branches lay bare
Wind whispers through them
With winters cold air
The branches give way
Revealing the sight
Of countless stars
Twinkling bright
Orion stands tall
Never to rest
The silent sentinel
Guarding the west
The North star above me
My guide as I roam
Gives me direction
To make my way home

As she slams the door in his drunken face
And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green
It's funny you say that. I was looking at the moon the other night and it jogged my memories of those walks under a full moon on those January nights. And you know how the Moon is so bright against the snowand everything looks blue. The way the trees cast shadows. And just looking up at the stars because of the air is so clear.
I have a few more I'm trying to get off my chest. Like those summer days spent in a field with the breeze lightly blowing the tall green grass creating waves. The old fence rows lined with wild raspberries. The nice stuff.
really lovely lyrics..
*smiles*
thank you for sharing!

in the june of summer,
she caught my eye,
the full moon, the half moon,
does it matter tonite?
her fragrance was nature,
my passion was no less,
the fields danced in rapture,
as we tangled with the weeds.
this is the end of this one or else i will be cast to the valley of the damned!!
