Drowning
Desperation looms,
Anger settles in,
Hurt protrudes from my heart,
Despair is my friend.
Fury stopped in today,
Sadness said hello,
Depression winked spitefully,
Happiness is my foe.
Destitution found it’s way over,
Ground zero made it’s way home,
Darkness consumes my bright spirit,
Rage found new land to roam.
Anxiety crept down the hall,
Fear flashed a quick smile,
Temper decided to come out to play,
Sorrow accompanied the bouts of denial.
Loss is inevitable,
Pain will always be there,
Black the only color I see,
Torture for my heart to bare.
