Scrolling through the rolodex of memories in my mind,

I search for you,

but it is you I cannot find.

I see your smile in times of sadness,

painting an image that is not real.

I see your frown in times of happiness,

from times I could not feel.

So many sides of you I will never get to see,

so many cries of yours,

I will never get to be.

Shades of autumn show through during your fall,

shades of spring develop,

within the scribbles of your wall.
