Here's a "scene poem" for english class

A Soft Summer’s Embrace

The sun smiled down upon us
High upon its impregnable perch
As we lay entwined amongst the lilacs
Where blood red roses kiss the bluebells
And nodding trees sway gently
Dancing to the soft summer wind

Your soft white hand slowly caresses mine
This summer wind solidifies our embrace
I place one hand on your pulsing heart
A raging sea of pumping crimson blood
That beats faster now, for me

The blackbirds cry out in hymn
All praise and glory to the God above
As the clouds creep up ever so quietly
Providing a silent cover
So kiss me now, and hold it forever

For just one moment there, with lips pressed, we were floating
Over the windswept plains, the billowing clouds
Past the lighthouses and old stone wells
Out to where the ocean waters kiss the heavens
And the soft summer wind pushes our ships
To sail into the sunset forever

  • very well done

    A+ for you
The only thing I enjoy is having no feelings....being numb rocks!

And I won't make the same mistakes
    (Because I know)
Because I know how much time that wastes
    (And function)
    Function is the key
