Universe Inside a Box

I wish I could make you see
what was meant for you
was the very thing I believe
was truly meant for me

I want to make you dream
of a future full of skies
so blue you'd think you'd died
and flowers trailing the sea

but time callapsed
somewhere out there
and all the verbs
don't sound quite square
you can't fit them in your box
can't tighten your own reign
so please just lighten up
I want you to remain

I walked away from this
this "situation" so unreliable
I want to be the seed
you plant and watch grow

but all those words don't work
all those dreams don't meld
quite as well as you'd like
and the day has finally come

but time callapsed

I want you to remain
I tried to be a better me
In the end I looked like the rest of them.

    especially loved the last verse
    The only thing I enjoy is having no feelings....being numb rocks!

    And I won't make the same mistakes
    (Because I know)
    Because I know how much time that wastes
    (And function)
    Function is the key
