Cut Me

Assembled in a neat little pile
My sovereign self, I am so proud
I bet my life you'd find me out
Now here I am, all caught up

I've dreamt of things
I cannot see
I've walked on leaves
Don't cut me
I've sold my soul
for half the sea
But why can't you
Come back to me?
I tried to be a better me
In the end I looked like the rest of them.
